Dice Settlers is live - more 4X goodness from NSKN Games!
about 6 years ago – Tue, Feb 27, 2018 at 04:57:32 PM

Ladies and Gentlemen!

We've just launched Dice Settlers on Kickstarter, and I'm here to drop you a few lines about the new 4X by the NSKN Team.

To keep this short and sweet, let me quickly tell you why - despite not being an Exodus game, and not having a space theme - I believe you might find this game interesting:

  • It is a full-blooded 4X game: you explore, expand, exploit and exterminate.
  • It comes from designer Dávid Turczi (Anachrony, Days of Ire, Petrichor), artist The Mico (all Valeria games) and the NSKN Team!
  • It plays fast, offers multiple paths to victory, and comes with loads of technologies.
  • You can also get a deluxe edition of the game, with an extra set of upgraded components.
  • You get to roll over 50 custom dice! Check them out:

If you're ready to settle the New World, just click here (or on any of the images), and help us bring another great game to life!

Have a great day!

Back from holidays and shipping news
over 6 years ago – Tue, Jan 09, 2018 at 10:22:57 PM

Ladies and Gentlemen!

After a holiday break we are back to full efficiency and answering any emails and messages as we speak. We hope that you were able to rest and relax during the holidays - and with that, let's move into some issues at hand.

Shipping Status

According to our data, most of you should have gotten your copies of Event Horizon by now. The only pledges that have not yet been delivered are to backers from Argentina. These are still in transit, but keep an eye out - and check your shipping numbers on a regular basis.

Reporting Issues

If you're from a region outside of Argentina, and you've not received your pledge - or you have received it but some of the items are damaged or missing - please contact us via email ([email protected]) or using our support form at www.nskn.net (the form can be found here).

We want to solve any possible issue as fast as possible, so please do not put them just in the comments, as they are hard to track. Writing to us directly means that we will process any request much quicker (and will not miss any of them).

---

We wish you all a great new year, filled with fortune and great games!

Rewards for US backers have been shipped out
over 6 years ago – Mon, Dec 18, 2017 at 12:26:49 AM

Ladies & Gentlemen,

Last Thursday we got new from Funagain that Exodus: Event Horizon has started to be processed. We do not have a complete list of tracking numbers yet, but we expect one as soon as the fulfillment process is over, early next week. As soon as we have it, we will post it as a comment to this update.

In case your address needs an update, please proceed as follows:

  • contact UPS directly to update the address,
  • it may happen that heir answer is "the sender has to do this"; that is just their strategy to deal with such requests; if we do the same they tell us that only the receiver can do it'
  • in such a case, try to escalate the issue, and they will become a lot more responsive;
  • so far, this has worked in almost every case.

Have a great weekend,

Andrei

Game boxes arrived at US fulfillment center (finally)
over 6 years ago – Thu, Nov 30, 2017 at 10:58:47 PM

Ladies & Gentlemen,

Funagain has finally received pallets of Event Horizon (and more) from FedEx, we have just learned about this last night. So, the painfully slow overseas delivery is finally a story behind us, now we need to get these games into your hands.

We used to have a slot reserved with Funagain for our fulfillment process, but due to FedEx being so late, we missed it (by more than 1 month). Funagain are nice people though, and the promised us to get to packing and shipping as soon as they can. We cannot offer a proper estimation before we hear back from them, but we expect this to happen soon. On the bright side, labels are already prepared, so as soon as some/all packages are ready, they can immediately be taken by UPS and delivered.

As comments to this updated we will keep you informed about the progress of the fulfillment process.

Have a great week,

Andrei

USA fulfillment: FedEx again...

#common update for Event Horizon and Paladin sleeves for US backers

Ladies & Gentlemen,

For the past 10 days (and this includes weekend and Thanksgiving) we have been constantly in touch with FedEx Logistics pestering them at least twice a day for delivery.

Last Wednesday there was a ray of hope - we've been announced that our container was delivered - but when we check with Funagain, they said that is not true. Upon further requests for a proof of signature, it turned out that FedEx simply... lied to get us to back off before Thanksgiving.

On Friday they told us that our container is physically in Oregon, but still to be delivered. After a few more angry emails and phone calls, got to the bottom of the new delay: FedEx USA subcontracted the shipping to a third party, who has apparently no incentives to deliver before Thanksgiving and they're completely off until today.

What you see above is the official tracking provided by FedEx, for our US bound container. This is what happened (dates are not all accurate):

  • the container made it to New York on 16-Oct (accurate);
  • it made it out of customs on 26-Oct (almost accurate, part of it was cleared earlier)
  • ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) port of arrival 5-Nov (inaccurate, as this was 16-Oct)
  • ETA inland port 15-Nov (inaccurate, as this is already in the past and nothing got delivered)

Unfortunately, we already paid FedEx for this entire shipment, so we cannot put any financial pressure on them. So that left us with one last resort which we used today, threatening to sue them for damages. We are not sure if this is an effective threat, but we are looking into way to follow up on it, while we hope that will be "incentive" enough for them to put pressure on their subcontractor for a speedy delivery.

I am hoping this is the last "delay" update I have to write. I will not venture another actual delivery date estimate, as FedEx proved as unreliable as it gets and there is not a thing more we can do about it (everyone there is either dodging our calls or answers with a frightened voice). We continue to put pressure and hope that our next update will contain the words "fulfillment completed".

Have a great week,

Andrei
