The big box conundrum. Time to finalize addresses.

Ladies & Gentlemen,
BRIEFLY: We need to finalize delivery addresses. Please update your BackerKit as soon as possible, with an address which will not change in the next 60-90 days.
Last weekend we made a small test: we placed all Exodus components - base game and the 2 expansions - in the big Event Horizon box. It fits! In fact, even with sleeved cards and some component boxes, it still fits, making the whole set quite a heavy item.
Now, since we are dealing with boxes twice the size we originally planned, we had to adjust our fulfillment plan to take into account the added shipping cost(*). But, the good news is that delivery will still be on time, by the original deadline (end of October).
Therefore, we will proceed as follows:
- games for backers in Australia and East Asia will be shipped at the end of next week from Poland, because of their transit time of up to 12 weeks;
- games for backers in USA and Canada will be packed on pallets, the week after and shipped with the first available vessel to our fulfillment centers in USA and Canada;
- in the first week of September, we will ship out the rest of rewards from Poland, to everyone else outside the EU, and the aforementioned regions;
- next, we will pack pallets with games for EU backers, which will get in 5-7 days to our EU fulfillment center; there, they will be packed and shipped as soon as possible.
We estimate that most games will reach backers in September and October, so no delays.
We need your help to make this happen: please update your Backerkit survey with an address which will NOT change in the next 60 to 90 days. If your home address is likely to change, use your work address, or your parents' or friends who will stay put for this period of time. Please keep in mind that after BackerKit gets locked, you will no longer be able to change the delivery address at all.
Address lock down will take place on THURSDAY 24-Aug.

(*) Most courier services charge by a measure of weight which is the larger value of the actual weight and the volumetric weight. Our typical game box would be a 30x30x7.5 cm box of 2 kg, but Event Horizon is double the volume, hence making our shipping more expensive.

Ladies and Getnlemen!
This update will be short on words, but truly grand on the images. As we said last week, component production is done, and as assembly is finishing, we I went to the factory to give you a glimpse at some finished copies of Exodus: Event Horizon.
Excuse the mess, the photos were taken "then and there", and see with your own eyes the glory of what all of you made possible:

Production status

Ladies & Gentlemen,
We've been informed that all Event Horizon components besides rules have been produced and are now awaiting assembly.
Due to the large size of the box, the whole process took a little longer than we expected, but we are still good with the original deadline for delivery.
At the end of the week we will go to the factory to check the quality of the final product and hopefully we will have some awesome pictures to show you.
As soon as we have confirmation that Event Horizon is all perfect, we will inform you of the plan forward - shipping and delivery.

BackerKit closing down on Thursday 6-Jul

Ladies & Gentlemen,
As production is advancing at a good pace, we are planning to close down BackerKit on Thursday 6-Jul. We need the rest of the time to prepare fulfillment lists for our partners who will ship out individual packages, and work around the whole logistics of the project.
Thus, we would like to ask everyone to:
- check if you have filled in your survey;
- if you chose add-ons beyond your original pledge, please check your card data, as we will proceed to charging cards immediately after locking down pledges;
- check you delivery address - we will leave this part open until the last possible moment (around 15-Jul), however, past that moment we won't be able to allow any exceptions.

Status update: production, plan for fulfillment

Ladies & Gentlemen,
This is a quick update on the status of manufacturing and our plan for fulfillment.
First of all, production has started. We are in the process of approving the e-proofs and color proofs so that mass production of the printed game pieces can move along. At the same time our factory has already outsources all components which do not require printing and those as being manufactured as we speak.
With that in mind, we have an ETA on getting Event Horizon game boxes and that is 20th of July. We are obviously on course for our October delivery, as originally planned.
As soon as game boxes are in our warehouse, we will ship them over to fulfillment centers. They are already aware that we will work with them and as the time to send games gets closer we will notify them of upcoming shipments and ask them to process our packages with priority.
